I was thinking of doing something like this before but never really had the right subject for it until now. So after Steve promted me with this image http://myolympus.org/document.php?id=4388 to convert it to black and white, I thought it would make a good painted conversion. Thanks Steve!

Camera: Olympus C7070
Exposure time: 1/500
Aperture: f2.8
Focal length: 27mm
Lens:
Focusing method: iESP
ISO: 80
White balance: Auto
Flash: no
Image format: SHQ
Processing applied: Converted to B & W with the hue & saturation sliders in Elements 3.0, then I spend the following 4 hours or so painting in the colour and removing the buildings. It was hard work as I needed a very steady hand, but I'm very pleased with the result.

Thanks for the compliment Christopher, I'm glad you like it.

I think the C-7070 is a very competent little camera, I like it very much, have you had yours long?

Best wishes.
