Olympus or other brand flash

I have a E500 Olympus camera, and would like to buy a shoe mounted flash. I'm undecided if I should buy the olympus flash, or something like a Qflash. My question is buy the flash made by Olympus or look at other manufactures.

What do you think the viewing counter for photos should display.

This poll is just to see that how people take this simple thing, like counter for viewing....because to me it tells you how many people at least clicked on your picture,weather they like it or not that's another question. So if the counter includes my viewing also then i can not have that idea....so please give your opinion on that.

Why do you use Oly 4/3 CCD instead of Canon CMOS

My son uses D10 Canon and I admit the noise level is something to think about, but lateron I bought the E-300. I have my reasons. That's why I wonder why others use Olympus E 300 or E-1

has your 5050 ever failed to power up? yes, or no?

fresh batteries, never been dropped, much-loved camera won't power up, no matter how I address it. has anyone had this problem, and how have they solved it? the easy answer is "send it back to Olympus." but that's not the easiest solution, is it? has your 5050 failed to turn on? yes, or no?
