I liked the clean shot of this metallic fly which I think is called 'Gymnochaeta viridis' in Latin.

Processing applied: The post processing was made with PSP8 and consisted of cropping, histogram adjustment of contrast, automatically adjusting colour balance and saturation, and finally applying an unsharp mask after resizing
Various: The picture was taken with a home-made +20 achromatic doublet close-up lens, using the on-board flash to help illuminate the subject via a home-made fiber-optic macro flash unit (see http://hem.passagen.se/birchs/TTL_ring_flash/). Shot in A-mode with the aperture f/8 (to get as deep DOF as possible) and forced flash gave an exposure time of 1/125 sec.
