Yes a macro shot from a Dragonfly in flight would be very nice , but that is as you say ans I agree is impossible ....... To take one in flight is already a challenge, I am very happy with this one.... Best regards,

Verry good shot for just 1/160 secs Fons ! I can see the light track right to the dragonfly caused by the relatively long exposure time - or am I wrong ?

A short calculation for fun : In the time the shutter was open (1/160 sec) the dragonfly made a distance of aproximatly 10 cm as seen in the foto(at least 10 cm ! - because it could have entered the frame after the shutter was allready open ) ! 10 cm / sec means a speed of 57.6 km / h - do you think it was as fast ? Would be hard to follow with a camera I guess ..
