AF + shutter leg

This is probably a good example how difficult it is to deal with the AF + shutter leg of the 8080 ! The focus point of this foto is at least 60 cm behind the dogs head which means that you should have pointed the camera for AF at least the same amount ahead of the dog to have it finally in focus ! Aperture f 8.0 would have helped too ! Regards from a 8080 user !

AF+shutter leg

A more precise calculation with my calculater shows that you have to focus something like 5 meters (!!) ahead of the dog to compensate AF+shutter leg - assuming a speed of the dog of 20 Km/hour and total leg of 1 sec

Shutter Lag

Thanks for your comments Dirk, I'll try to put your advice into practice when i take this kind of shot again. As you say, a smaller aperture would have helped. I have recently started using the 8080 after many years with an OM-4 (which I still have), but even with that great camera i always found this sort sort of shot a challenge!
