I don?t have much experience about photographying fireworks so I decided to play safe and used scene programme this time for this purpose. I did not also knew beforehand the exact location so I was probably a bit too close, but personally I like those silhouettes of people in the front that give some sense of scale and human presence.

I think the scene mode has produced an excellent exposure for this shot, I also like the addition of the people in the FG and the light reflected in the road, looks good to me
Cheers Steve

Hi Pekka!!.. for me your picture is perfect!!.. Usually the people shot fireworks, very far, in landscapes mode, but here the people in the foreground, the smoke, the wind effect and the upper right corner very dark, in my opinion, gave a wonderful result..!!, Congratulations,
Best regards, Ricardo

Thanks Steve. This was a small fireworks organized by a local shopping center to "celebrate" ... err..
beginning of frantic Christmas shopping season. It was over in 3-4 minutes so I was lucky to get at least one
shot like this.
Regards, Pekka.

Thank you Ricardo.

Thanks for your comment Ricardo. This fireworks lasted only some 3-4 minutes so I was lucky to get at least
one shot like this... of course Olympus and tripod helped a bit too;).
regards, pekka.
