Living in Sulina

The Danube Delta is perhaps the least inhabited region of temperate Europe. In the Romanian side live about 20,000 people, of which 4,600 in the port of Sulina, which gives an average density of approx. 2 inhabitants per km˛. The rest is scattered in 27 villages, of which only three, all situated marginally, have more than 500 people (2002).

Now that I learn more, I think Sulina is best viewed in pictures, not in person.

Thank you Mark.

Sulina is quite strange you see.
I guess a place to either love or hate.
The biosphere is unique and overwhelming in its richness, but people struggles to exist.
Its windy, salty and rainy. Roads are like Swiss cheese, lots of bumps and holes.
Every thing is breaking down in Sulina. Just give it some time…

But do you know what? It is easy to get connected. I guess one day, crazy or not, I go back there.
(Maybe its time to call my doctor now…?)
