Great Blue Heron - 6
GOTCHA!!! Not very long ago Fons posted an amazing photo of a Grey Heron lurching from the banks of an estuary into the water after prey. As I'd mentioned then I had never seen a GBH engage in similar tactics. This posting (GBH -6) is typical of GBHs; first they stalk; then they assume a striking pose (not unlike a snake), the neck curled and the eyes zeroed in on the prey; then they strike.
