Fons, the two flowers are very similar but I think the waratah is slightly stiffer and grows on a more sturdy plant. The grevillea has almost a subtle waxy fragile feel to it and the plant has smaller, thinner leaves (I think). They are both Australian natives - I think the Grevillea comes from WA.
