Spotfin Lionfish Hunting
We see a lot of lionfish here. Unlike the lionfish in the Carribean, they are native to the Pacific and a natural part of the reef.

Nice picture Katrina. So you bought the E-PL1 with the underwater housing (which one)? How satisfied are you with it?
At what depth was the shot taken? Am asking because you took this with available light and the deeper you go, the less red light there is.

Hi Alfred,
I bought the Oly housing for the camera (PT-EP01) and I like it a lot. Solid build, simple to maintain and all controls easy and intuitive to use. I wish it was rated for a deeper depth (I think that the max is 32m) but I rarely do technical dives.
The shot was taken with an external strobe at about 18m at night, I missed the "flash" category when I uploaded the image. I also adjusted the white balance when I processed the raw image.

Very nice shot showing the fully extended fins. The colors look lovely with strobe.

Thank you very much! I think that the fish were preparing for courtship, they all had spectacular color that night.
