Cat Eye Blue II
Cotton strikes a classic Hollywood portrait pose and flashes his baby blues. An impromptu portrait, I noticed Cotton laying in the sunlight from the setting sun coming through the french doors acting as a backlight and "fur" light. Cotton was laying next to a 5 inch reflector with a 250w @3200K lamp on a mini-boom. I turned it on and used it as a key light. I then turned on a home made soft box and set it 45 degrees camera right. I did this to provide a little fill and to make Cotton's pupils get smaller to show his irises. When I saw how his eyes glowed after that I about peed myself trying to to get back to my camera and position to take a shot!!! :-) Fortunately he seemed fascinated by the soft box and kept staring at it. That let me get several shots. Enjoy!

Wow. That's just awesome!
His eyes are such a lovely, lovely shade of blue there. And that little glow on his right ear makes it looks so warm.
I want to smooch him. :D

Thanks so much Gillian! :-)
He's not so fond of smooches. I know from personal experience. Belly rubs on the other hand are the best!!! I'll give himone for you! ;-)
Thanks again!

Thanks so much for your comment, Adrie!
To answer your question on sharpness, please see the following technical review of this wonderful lens:

My experience is that the sharpness remains constant across aperature settings.
Enjoy!
