Roman,
I certainly do not take your comment amiss, I need to know how other people feel, so I can improve. In this picture, I wish I had taken the time to 'clean up' the surroundings more. While I left everything untouched, it might have made a better subject with the leaf, pine needles and green plant removed. For me, it invokes a summer memory of walking a country road (in background) in Northern Wisconsin.

removal = bad
on the subject of "cleanup". the whole idea of taking photos to me is that you can leave the area relatively undisturbed when you are finished. If you remove the green plant, you have certainly disturbed the area significantly to get your shot. While it may be worth the death of a few plants to get an important shot, I would just throw out that a thought should be given to whether it is really worth it or not first.
