Actually, I play a little trick with you (and all other viewers): The eyes are actually not blue at all, they are neutral grey. However, the rest of the picture (excluding the eyes) is slightly 'warmed' in order to not make the skin and hair look like metal on the screen.
So, it is an illusion that tey look blue.
