Jens Birch Translucent Robes The backlight by the sun onto this brimstone reveals the contours of its body under its gown. The brimstone is called (Gonepteryx rhamni) in latin and the flower it is feeding on is thrift (Ameria maritima).

I have had the idea of this shot for a while but never got the right butterfly, angle of view, or correct position of the sun in my garden. So yesterday, I went out in the field and kneeled with my ZD 50-200+EC-14+Canon 500D (+2 achromatiuc close-up lens) in front of the thrift and managed to take a shot of this delicate butterfly exactly as I had anticipated.

Familiar sight around Manhattan busy streets, it's another option you have for travelling in the city,kind of romantic if you're with that special one, these guy's move pretty fast, sometimes I feel they could give a yellow cab a good run for their money,know what I'm saying? So here it is we have this Pedicab operator making some adjustment's to his vehicle and getting ready for his next trip. This is on Christmas eve

Stab #2 at Treasure Falls in SW Colorado. Someone pointed out (correctly) that my first posted image was not all that sharp. So am posting this one as a replacement.

This one is JOG from the camera, resized and sharpened in PS.

1/25th f10, hand held with IS #1 turned on.
