John Larkin The Candyman

As I'm lucky* enough to live on the Belgian coast, our town has concerts staged all through the summer months. I took this photo of the keyboardist in an excellent cover band who do a special tribute to 'The Blues Brothers'.

It's a bit noisey, I know, but please feel free to leave comments!

  • Except from the town being taken over from the tourists in the summer!

Mike PADLEY The Carter

This memorial is to the Carters and their horses who worked the busy Irvine Harbour in the 18th Century. In its time Irvine was the second most important Scottish port . In 1753 the Carters Society was formally constituted with 106 members. The Carter and his horse would pull small carts with goods or coal weighing as much as eight hundredweights (over 400 Kg).
