Title Info
Butterfly Evening Meal

This is a butterfly that stopped for a quick meal next to the creek near my home. I used the Olympus 40-150mm with a Canon 500D close-up lense. I believe the name of this little guy is Cabbage White.

Green Dragonfly & Breakfast

This dragonfly caught his meal in just a few seconds while I changed lenses. I was photographing him and went to change my lense while he got something to eat and landed on the same little plant stem. I used the Canon 500D with my Olympus 40-150mm.

Jeweled Vine Corbett's Glen

I took this at a local park a few weeks ago. It was very cold but there was also much to see. I photographed this with my E510 and Olympus OM 65-200mm. I used the camera as a black and white camera and used the built in red filter. I wanted more depth but needed a little wider aperture than usual for the shutter speed.

Monarch and Thistle

Monarch butterfly and thistle bloom. Taken with a Vivitar 200mm 3.5 OM mount. I cropped then custom blurred the image with PaintShop Pro XI.

Red Dragonfly and Wild Grape Leaf

This is one of many insects I was able to see at the local Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve. Most did not sit still long enough to get a good look at but a few were not camera shy. This is one. I used my Olympus OM 65-200mm.

The Bashful Bumblebee

There is a large number of thistles growing near the creek with an equal number of bumblebees working them. I got this image today with my almost new E510 and OM 65-200mm while walking back home from lunch.
