Spider To The Fly

We got some good rains in the area where I live for the first time in a while, prompting many rain lilies to pop up. I discovered one occupied by this lovely pink spider who had just snagged an unsuspecting fly.

Pollination

Prickly pear cactus is abundant in the Texas Hill Country and blooms in the month of May. Insects practically drown themselves in the pollen.
