Night Prowler

G'Day Mike:

Nice shot; snails are wonderful. However, the high ISO shows in the background, especially to the left of the snail; there's a lot of noise.

I've tried shooting these with my C-8080; it was a stretch - a lot more grain than you've got here. Now I'm just waiting (along with my E-1/14-54mm) for warmer weather - when the snails come out of the woodwork. Of course, the Zuiko 50mm macro would be a more desirable lens.

-Ciao!

Hi Leon,
Thanks for your comments - right on all points. This was taken 9 months ago, since then I have obtained an external flash, and an old - but good - Tamron 50mm macro. An ED 50 macro would be nice, but the Tamron and a set of rings is more flexable. Focus in manual, and auto focus would be an advantage with moving subjects
Mike
