Oh, my!

What a catch - you and the heron!

Nice and sharp, and I love the colors and the splashing water that's frozen in time, not to mention the slight cocking of the head; this is great.

And what's this - a ZD 300/f-2.8? Now that's a nice chunk of glass. Oh, how I'd love to spend an afternoon on Paynes Prairie with one of those - especially in the winter when the Sand Hill Cranes are in the area.

Thanks Leon,

Yes I agree the ED300mm2.8 is a big chunk of glass heavy also but good what good ! Excellent...
One day I hope to visit your Country and test run it at the Paynes Prairy...;-))
For now I have to do with Blue Heron and small local birds......;-(((

ZD 300/2.8

A big chunk of glass? No-no-no; it is a big, beautiful, sublime, simply amazing chunk of glass capable of capturing fantastic images.

Over at MyFourThirds-dot-com there's a red squirrel perched on the trunk of a tree that was shot with a ZD 300/2.8 that is spectacular - so sharp and the colors - ah ... tre magnifique!!!

Ciao!

Heron with a fish

Fons,
I missed this posting for some reason, I like the shot but it is a shame you can't see the eye of the Heron.
Neat Image has done a good job for you, how are you finding it?

Kindest Regards: Peter
