Bravo

This is a much more interesting image IMO then "Time Pieces" simply because of your choice of DOF and LIGHTING. Even though the watches should be of more interest, you have made this image more compelling, because of the lighting. Again, Bravo, simple subject matter can be interesting. There are so many photo opps around the house; one just needs imagination and good techniques with the tools of the trade. The most expensive camera in the world does not make for the most expressive photos, it all starts with LIGHT!

Thank you Randall

Thank you for your comment. You are absolutely right about light. Suitable lighting and certain quality of light can make magic to otherwise ordinary objects (not to forget the importance of composition). After all it is 'fotos grafein' - writing with light.
But it is generally much easier to take ordinary photos of interesting things than take interesting photos of ordinary things. I have still a lot to learn in this and therefore I was personally very happy teh way this photo came out since I love books and hopefully this photo transmits something of the "inner life of books".
Pekka.
