Hello Steve - another typical shot from you, but this time slightly different. The square crop, the colours and the frame all add to the difference and and I like it (not that i got tired of your usual approach). I also like the lines leading into the image.
Btw: Are you sure you used the C4000 ;-)
Regards Dietrich

Hi Steve
Great colours. I wonder if the shot would be improved by rotating to the right. It seems to be sliding to the left. You were probably on the side of a hill and that is how it is.
I hesitate to make suggestions to a master!!
Regards

Thanks Dietrich
I'm pleased that you like the frame and square crop which I think give a different feel, I used the E300 as usual I just missed clicking the box! well spotted.
Cheers Steve

Thanks Dee
There is something magical about the light first thing in the morning, it's well worth dragging yourself out of bed for!
Cheers Steve

Thanks for your comments Kiffin,
I can see what you mean about the sloping horizon and I did consider rotating it to bring it level, but I had set my tripod on the level before taking the shot and as some of our hills in Derbyshire do slope I thought I would leave it as it is.
Cheers Steve

Beatiful landscapes Steve, very nice colors. In my opinion the horinzont looks a little slooping, but maybe is an optical ilusion. Best regards, Ricardo

I give you a rating, so your image should turn out as top image of the week ;-)

By the way, it looks as if the image was tilted to the left (the horizont does not look horizontal).

Thanks Karmen, Ricardo and Alfred for your comments they are appreciated. Regarding the horizon I set my tripod with a spirit level so it should be spot on.
Cheers Steve

nice work!

perfect except for that little tilt... but I would have overlooked it, if others hadn't pointed it out because it has such a wonderful atmosphere. I don't think you need that thin white frame before the dark frame, less is more with frames, I say... just my 2 centimes

should have read first, that you used a level... It "appears" to tilt to the left. It's an optical illusion, I am sure. But that goes to show you, if you get too mechanical about the whole thing, it doesn't always help.
