Many thanks to all for your kind comments. It's nice to know that occasionally you can get it right.
Leon, I'd like to say I spent time in the field to get the shot. However I cheated and went to a local falconry centre where it is a good place to get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures and It's definitely on my list of places for a second visit.

I agree with the previous posts - great capture. I have some minor complaints - I think it could be a tiny bit sharper and the lightning is a bit flat.
