French Facades
I liked the repetition in the facade leading down to the monument. The foreground reminds me a little of the Abbey Road cover. This was in Paris, and I'm told that it's the Place Vendome, many thanks to dee vee for that .....

French Facades
G?Day Chris ?
Nice shot, great composition; the mirrored symmetry of the buildings on opposite sides of the street ? split down the middle by the aforementioned monument (sans name ? for the time being anyway) really caught my eye; it?s sharp and the exposure is close to perfect; you just about nailed every zone ?from absolute black to absolute white; reminds me of the good ol? days, shooting black and white Kodak and Ilford (125 and 400 ASA) with what are now classics (SLRs and rangefinders with prime lenses). Good show!

ps: You?re right about the shot resembling the Abbey Road album cover.
