Later this afternoon I went up to the attic where I can overview the top of the tree where the European Gold Finch a few time's landed. All my gear set-up incuding my tripod , did not have to wait long before I heared the high pitch tone and a sec later she set down on the top branch.... Made this shot with iso 400 because light conditions where not perfect anymore, also to get a fast shutterspeed due of the movement from that top twig where the bird was sitting on.. IMO this second shot looks much better, but you can tell me if you think otherwise...;-)

Well done, Fons.
A very beautiful bird..
So , for me it's a better shot than the other.(More sharpness).
I hope you can shot it with better circumstances..

Bruno

Nice Pic!

I think you have brought the plummage colour out more.

I like it. I always get scared of ISO 400

Just a point of interest...
I hear Olympus is coming out with sp510 @ ISO 1600, 7.1mp that can go to a 3mp @ ISO 4000!

Thanks Christopher
ISO 400 is also not my favorite setting, most of the time to much noise.
I needed it this time due of the light conditions and to get that shutterspeed.
After Neat Image Noise reduction the photo is exeptable I think...
Interesting news ISO1600 and 4000 almost unbelievable, my news in Sept 2006 a successor for the E-1 is coming to the market.
Suppose to be a 13 MP camera ?????? Hope it is thru...

Groet Fons
