Not much DOF, but you managed to catch the dog in the right instant while he was in the middle of your DOF zone. Did you pre-focus?

I used the E-1 with continuous AF, using only the middle AF-point. I nailed 90% of the shots for this obstacle. Maybe the yellow bars provided unusually good contrast for that.
