This is a great macro Sergey, and a perfect advertisement for the 35mm macro.
You must have been 2-3 inches from the butterfly. Did he pose for a while, or did you have to take this shot 'on the fly'?

Thanks Loren,
Usually early in the morning the butterflies are quite inactive. Also if you manage to catch one in a shade under the trees where it is cool. Once they get out in the sun they are gone.
Yes, it was pretty close. In this case I usually preset camera and lens to manual focus; 2:1, 1:1, ...etc., - depending on how close I will be allowed) and snap a shot once I move in to a good focus distance. Also DOF is important (as you can see on this shot). You absolutely must use one of the external flashes; twin-flash, double ring, FL-36 and up .... (always with diffuser on) to compensate for the loss of light with small aperture. The lens barrel will almost always cast a shadow if you use internal flash. The colors with internal flash somehow are not that great either. At least from my experience.
As for the lens - it is sharp indeed; for macro as well as landscapes. I use 14-54 and 50-200 quite often, and this "little fella" fits in quite well into the bunch.
