NO SUBJECT
Hi Shelley,
Is is an old zoom M42 screw mount lens; I got it on a bid on ebay for about 40 euros.
I guess , it is a soviet lens.
When I use this lens I am always surprised by the quality of the photos obtained.
I have done another photo on this site with that lens
(Westminster 2 ).
So , You have to focus manually, and often close the aperture at max to be sure having a good dof. But this lens is sharp!!
Sometime I use other old lens.
For macro , another good one is the Zeiss Flektogon 35mm. ( focus to 0,25m) ( You can get it for about 60 euros on ebay).
If you are interesing by old lenses and photos done by them, try http:/www.photosig.com/
You must get a free registration and after you can watch photos by lens type.
In general the best M42 lenses trademark are
Zeiss, Takumer, Helios.
Another site dedicated to M42 lenses

Happy you like the "flower " , Shelley

Bruno
