Sunset Beach

Alfonso,
While I like your photographs, especially your superb sense of composition and variety of subjects, this image illustrates a serious flaw and a major weakness of our E-500's. The serious flaw is in the smeared, oversaturated yellow surrounding the sun, in bothe this phot and the following one. The weakness --likely shared with most other digital cameras--is in the blacking out of the shadow areas, likely due to dynamic range limitations.

I live near a riverside nature park (just south of Saskatoon, on the North Saskatchewan River) and have taken many similar shots with similar problematic results: my eyes see subtle ranges of orange ionto red, the camera produces yellow. The E-1, which I also use, tends to be somewhat better, but even extensive post-processing can't quite retrieve what I (and you?) saw.
