Nice! I like this shot better than the previous one! Above all, the brown colors of the foreground.
I think that if the sky was flat the image would be far less interesting.

What happened over there long time ago?
There has to be a few foundation found also from these old mills I guess.
I can not believe they ( who ever) brought al those millstones up on the hill to dump them over there.
Where there fields in the past with corn ...?
There must be a reason why these stones are over there...Would like to know a little more...

Lets don't forget the picture, I like the Peak District very much.
Al the pictures you made over there are great.

Many thanks to Juan, Sergio, Fons and Bruno for all your comments and taking the time to look at my picture.
These Millstones are actually carved by hand from the local Sandstone here on Stanage Edge, it must have been a very hard job being up here in all weathers throughout the seasons with a hammer and chisel producing these huge stones for the flour mills.

The Peak District is a splendid place for photography and the views change so much as you go through the seasons, I think my favourite time is the autumn, but I look forward to whatever comes my way as each seasons brings with it a different challenge.

A really nice photo of "our" home turf, it's been a while since I was last up on Stanage Edge, but everytime I see one of your photo's it makes me smile and want to get back up there again, but this time with my camera.

I agree with Ricardo, I could also spot that this was one of your photo's from the thumb nail.

What caught my eye in the thumbnail is the line of the millstones with the wall/ road. Lovely color.
