Just messing around trying to get my exposures right. Indoor shot with artificial light - no flash. Rose is a miniature. Any Help??

To start out RED is the most difficult colour to get a picture from, to get more DOF you can start with higher aperture F8.0 and let the camera pick the shuttertime acordingly.Try a little fill-in flash or a spotlight for lightning the object. Good luck, also have a look at Randall Beaudin's pictures.....

I made the same experience with red poppy flowers. I got some better results with manual white balance (I have always a white sheet of paper with me). And you should play with exposure bias.
