I put the camera on the ground (with the back screen flipped up) during a recent rainy day visit to London's Trafalgar Square. I hate those stupid pigeons (hence the photo name Ratswithwings) but the photo works.

Inventive

Although the picture seems not to be very sharp, I find the idea inventive and the overall gray contrasts with the red feet.

I love it, living and working in London this photo does seem to show the loverly flying rats taking over London ;)

Juan Thanks for your comments and critique. This image has a lot of fringing, the blue/green cast on the outlines especially in areas of high contrast. The original has it, and the work I did in photoshop to reduce the high contrast and backlighting only seems to have brought it out in the final version. I did post the exif settings in the image comments and note with some surprise that my bad habit of putting the camera on P mode, which usually serves me well, caught me out with a shutter speed of 1/650 and f4 at iso 64. I'm a bit puzzled by this but can only blame my laziness. If I had reduced the speed and thereby increased the aperture, I'm sure the quality would have improved. I may hand this off to someone who can do a better job of it as I still really like the photo. Cheers and thanks again
