Great detail, it always interests me why insects are covered with hair, here we have thick hairs and thin hairs the hair can't be to retain heat as it is not thick enough. I assume the antennae have some sensory purpose as most insects have some form of them.

Insects have hairs that are used to sense a variety of things such as slight movement of air, vibrations, temperature, etc.

In short, they use their body hair to feel, sense and hear things.

Thanks Bevellee, seeing those little creators so close by somethimes the hair in the neck will rais and standup. It's a different way off viewing insects, how are you making out with your old stuff. Did you manage to setup a reversed lens already?? Best regards,
