Contest
You should submit this image to the current July photo contest (Macro category). You'd have a good chance of winning.

Damaged wings
By a closer look I noticed that the wings off this Dragonfly are damaged. Did you catch it , or was it there already when you took to picture.?

Dragonfly
All of my photos are "in the wild". I would never capture an animal/insect/anything just for a photo. I can't explain why the wings are damaged, but there are many dragonflies in the area and are constantly chasing each other around. Maybe he's crashed once or twice.
Thanks again for the comments Fons. Still working on the face shot for you.

Dragonfly
I have already submitted a macro photo for this month. I tried to submit this, but it wouldn't let me. I'll have to wait for the next month with a macro category.
