Macro Fly

This is a very ambitious macro of a fly, you did well without the use of any add on lens for greater magnification, how difficult was it for focusing ? did you have to play with that arrow pad alot or was it a breeze? which ever way it was you did succeed in capturing good detail.

Fly

Excellent macro Dirk great detail of the eyes. From details external flash was used was this diffused flash, lighting is well spread.

TO ELDER Kereland and Phil

Thank you both for your nice statements ! This time I tried macro with AF / spot ! 2 seconds to get a lock, normaly too long for a moving insect - but this one was a little groggy from trying to get through the closed window ! You need lots of light to shorten AF ! Used external flasch with a white paper reflector taped on the top of the flash - with a curved overhang so it reflects the light to the insect 5 cm in front of the lens ! more to come ....
