Greenfinch (Carduelis Chloris)
A nicely marked young greenfinch took its own photograph, what a talented bird. From my series of Bird Self Portraits.

The Best
Phil, I think that you have some of the best close up I have seen of birds on this site, I'm no photography expert but i do watch alot of pic's on alot of web sites including here and it alway's amaze me of the crisp color's, good lighting and detailed sharpness you guy's and gal's achieve, I know it's no fly by night affair but pure pratice and dedication for what you love to do and share. Good Job.

As everyone who looks at your birds, I am impressed about the quality and sharpnes of these fotos !
3 QUESTIONS please :
1) What is the camera distance to the bird ?
2) Are'nt the birds disdurbed by sound of the starting camera >> initial moving lenstube at start ? (Assuming the cameras external power suply is switched on by a wide angel sensor or manually!?)
3) Do you use the 8080 IR remote to make the shot manually - Or do you use a second sensor to shoot (automaticly) after the bird is in place ?
Kind regards Dirk
