Macro 2
That's a macro, come on, any closer and you have nothing left to crop to make the image do what you want it to, so you've achieved maximum possible magnification, just not a 1:1 macro, nor a 1:2 macro, but even a 1:3 works, the 14-54 is a 1:5 and I used it to produce macros.
So you've just proven what I hoped for in this lens, roughly 5 inches across at minimum focus distance for a long lens that can turn around and shoot DF's or butterflies in flight.
