Great composition and clarity. I had to look this guy up to see what he is. What do they eat? His mouth is kind of scary looking.

Thanx much katrina; these damselflies eat little flies and other critters

Azure Damselfly

Wonderful macro. How small is your Damsel? Mine run form 15mm to about 25 mm, and unless it suddenly gets cold I can't get this close.

thanx Scott... I think most damsels are about 3 or 4 centimeter, so I think they are larger than yours
For capturing them, I always go in the early morning, because they are asleep, or just waking up and trying to get warm enough to be able to fly

Love the detail, colors, and composition of this shot. Did you shoot it with the Sigma 150MM macro? I'm still kicking myself for selling mine to Scott, but I know he gets more use out of it than I would have :)

thanx Greg, I do not have the 150mm macro... I did this with the m-zuiko 12-50mm and attached to it, the Mcon40-macro-filter
