Sunrise On The Yakima River
Spent a week in Richland Washington on a work assignment. The hotel I stayed at was right on the river with easy access. I was up early one morning and got this shot as the sun was coming up.

Beautiful color and I like the sun behind the grouping of trees. Did you use a tripod? It's too bad that the line of trees to the left don't have a tighter focus.

Katrina,
Thank you for the kind words. I was really pleased myself when I got to a computer and was really able to see the end result! As I said in my comment I probably used the sunset option that's built into my E500 but I don't remember. I did not use a tripod, got lucky I guess and had a fairly steady hand at the time. As it is said "even the blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then".

Yes it is. I was quite lucky in that I had to be up quite early in the morning so I could complete the set up of all the networking equipment (the real reason I was in Richland). The weather was also quite cooperative, I actually didn't really notice the clouds until I got home and saw the shot on the computer monitor.
