Again a good composition idea. Chongqing is a hopelessly polluted city, with heavy haze and very poor long distance visibility. So the idea to have an illuminated subject (the cablecar) in the foreground is very good.

Another nice capture. But I can't help but notice that the support connection holding this car appears woefully inadequate for the number of people riding.

Yes it´s certainly polluted. I spend there a week. But the air felt generally better than I have experienced sometimes in Beijing and in Shanghai - less cars. This part of China (Sichuan basin surrounded by mountains) is famous for being cloudy and foggy throughout the year. So the poor visibility most of the time here is caused more by climatic conditions than by pollution. There´s a lot of moisture in the air and area was famous for clouds and fogs centuries ago. There was an old saying "In Sichuan village dogs start to bark when they see the sun" meaning that sunshine was a rare phenomen. That´s why the neighbour province south of Sichuan is named Yunnan.
Yun nan means "south of the clouds" because there´s plentiful of sunshine in Yuunnan but Sichuan is always covered with clouds and fog. Sichuanese women have always been famous for soft beautiful skin because the are naturally pritected from the sun most of their lives. Pekka.

And now you say it after I have crossed the river 4 times in that damn thing!!!
Those cable cars in China seem always to be made in Austria, Switzerland or Japan.
I can´t remember about this one. But I have never seen a Chinese cable car there.
