A lovely old wooden sailing boat. I wish I had one too to sail away...

Sailing without wind
Let's not be sailing too far Pekka, I am getting use to seeing some great captures again. This one is so very sharp and the colors in the distant just blend in for a colorful and great capture. Are you sure you can't talk your son into leaving the girls alone and learning a terrific hobby from his dad?

Missed
Pekka,
You know I really like your work. The colors are great in this one, but I feel you just missed on the composition on this one. I am not sure what is not working, maybe the little triangle of land on the forground or the three buildings competing for the eye in the background. Still pleasant to view.
(by the way, if I really didn't like it, I would say nothing.)

NO SUBJECT
Thanks Mark. Well I have to confess that I struggled a bit with composotion:) The boat was slowly going further, I had a 20mm prime on camera and no time to switch for zoom and also I was already standing on the bank so I could not follow it. I took few photos: some horizontal and also 1-2 without that grass triangle. In the end I thought this was still the best of the lot. Pekka.

Thanks Dave
I liked the peaceful mood in this picture. Of course it would lokk much more idyllic if there werenīt those buildings and that coal hill on the right (the last coal fuelled power station in Finland soon to be closed down) on the bacground but green islands instead. Tomorrow I shall fly to Chongqing aka. "the city of fog" in China for ten days vacation. Letīs see what I manage to capture there. Have a nice autumn (itīs turning slowly into winter here). best regards, pekka.
