Face of the falls (2)
This is a part of the Barron Falls, in far north Queensland, Australia. It only has water flowing over it for a short time each year. I was caught by the "face" you can see in the rock formation.

Nice
Jim,
Nice composition and a dramatic shot.
Well done.

I really like this and the "face" is amazing! (I wish you'd managed to keep a little more detail in the water, though I appreciate the difficulty!)

Thanks Mike. I take your point about detail in the water. Will put up a couple of other shots that may give you more idea of the detail.

I would have liked the water with LESS detail, flowing. But a good shot nevertheless.

Thank you Dave. Actually, I personally prefer a roaring fall like this one to have as much detail as I can, with a fast shutter and wide aperture. Unfortunately, I didn't really get that either, so admit the water is not quite what anyone wants!
