Every time I see such clarity and detail in macro work, the 50mm f2.0 lens is there! Nice image Adam, this is a shot I've always been trying to get. I like this particular treatment of it.

50mm: extension tube and flash

Thanks, Mark! I also used the extension tube, which I've struggled with a little. I might have actually got a sharper image without the tube added. I would have given up the closer focus distance, but I could have just cropped and gotten a similar result. I also like going without a flash, but this one turned out to be the best. But, to get back to your point, the 50mm f2.0 is one of the best! Thanks again!

Thank you, Nyal! It took a number of shots to get this one, but it was worth it. I thought it looked better in black and white since there was only a hint of brown in the original color version. I'm glad you like it...thanks again!
