Loose Change
A cup full of loose change was spread out on a table for this image. The only light source was an overhead incandescent lamp. A tripod was used.

Good Idea
Nice recording shot Joe, now what would have made it more of an interesting shot IMO would be to roll up a cone of paper and snoot that light to get a pool of light on the coins.
And so forth and so forth. It's that little bit of effort that transcribes the photo from a mere recording to something that is your vision.
