Nice capture... Excellent details on the wings..

Very well done to get the detail in the dark wings, though unfortunately this has led to a dominant light area which unbalances the image a bit.
A very difficult subject - pity the weather wasn't dull!

Ok, maybe I was a litle harsh - this is a VERY difficult task with the extremes of light and dark, and you have really made the best of it!

I was a bit surprised by the only 6 average rating given to this image, but I have to agree that the background disturbs quite a bit.
I think Photoshop offers ways to improve this image, by using layers and making the background much darker and low contrast and applying more contrast to the butterfly itself.

Hallo Ramasubramaniyan, Mike and Alfred,
I had expected no top image more, but I am again very glad with this.
The contrasts between the white leaves and the black butterfly is a real problem.
May be with the E 5 the result is better ;-)
The backgrounds is certainly annoying, but there was no another choice.
Yet I have always a preference for a natural shot with so little possible manipulations. I do not work with layers in PS.
Thank you all for your appreciation, comment and suggestions.
With kind regard,
Hans
