Good use of lighting to set the mood

Nice natural-looking spotlight on the subject. Sets the mood well, especially if he composes melancholy songs. Would have been nice to have some artifacts of his profession, e.g. sheet music, instruments, etc. but it works well as is.

Mr Hudson

Thanks James, actually I used daylight for this image that's why it looks natural. I spot metered for the face then took half a stop off that to ensure that the shadows were deep and the mid range rich. The image however is a study of the man and not his profession hence the omission of artifacts.
