I like your view on scapes.
Good composition and framing, interesting content, but why that small aperture?
Try to focus some where one thirds into your scenery and keep the aperture over f: 8.
Like that it all will appear sharper without diffraction (starting from f: 11 with most Olympus glass)...

Thanks Olav for your helpful comments.

I have just upgraded to the E30 and am slowly coming to grips with the many options.
I also did not apply some sharpening as I usually do.
I have now applied sharpening and that has helped.

Using a lower f stop would have increased the speed at the +evs and helped eliminate any movement as I was not using a tripod.

Hi Olav

I found an article on diffraction, had always assumed the smaller aperture gave a sharper result.
You can learn something every day!

Sharpness not a drawback

Kiffin,

It is good to know about the f stop issues, but in the case of this image, I believe your composition, color and subject matter far outweigh the need for sharpness. It has the feel of an oil painting by a master.

Really well done, and enjoyable to view.
