Hmmm. . . Ok Bruce, you've almost convinced me to try HDR. This is outstanding, and I like the "Evening walk" too.

Hello Jim....

I was a big skeptic for years, too. Because you see so many are are so poorly done.

Give it a try and see if you can use it to record more contrast ranges that the digital sensor normally allows.

Digital has been around so long now that I think we have all grown accustomed to the narrower lattitude as normal.
A well done HDR reminds me of film...can record closer to what you see with your eye, more lattitude.

Best HDR I've ever seen. After so many pastel-colours-like HDRs, finally an HDR which looks natural, with great light and colours. You should use this as an example of what HDR can do.

The greens have that saturated look I'm always getting with Photomatix, but I really like the contrast in the rock. What kind of pp did you use, I'm still trying to find a good treatment to get rid of that pastel or lack of contrast look. As good an hdr as you'll see.
