Shot on the first on January. I came already some 30 minutes before sunrise but somebody had been there before me and left its fooprints on snow. Probably fox looking for something to eat.

Well Pekka, You just don't give up do you. Such great captures and the amount of work I am sure you have gone through to get them. And again it's all in the color and lighting. You sure have an eye for beauty. Thanks for sharing...Dave...I am copying and pasteing this comment to all three of todays entries as I believe each of them deserve it.
The footprints are not distracting at all. Adds a little suspence to the photo.

This is beautiful. the warmer glint of reflected light contrasts so well with the blueness ofthe ice. Exposure must be difficult but you have got it right.
