Rocks and water
A HDR image of 10 shots. My favourite pile of rocks revisited. Location is Gulf of Finland in Uutela in eastern Helsikni.

I really like your work with rocks and the sea. You had some up a little while ago that were wonderful too.
It just looks so cold and sparse, but also really beautiful.

Hi Pekka
A great shot. I wonder if it would be improved by taking the curve out of the horizon?
Have just tried out photomatix, it does a great job.
You turn out beautiful work.

Thank you Kiffin
Thank you Kiffin. I was thinking about straightening the horizon too, but then thought that the curve is so small that it looks quite natural.

Thank you Gillian
I guess there is something in that cold and sparse that interests me a lot. I like very much the Japanese aesthetic concept of wabi which is often translated as "cold and withered" and used a lot in poetry to convey a certain feeling.
