Early morning after winterīs first proper snowfall... but from last year. Who knows when winter begins this year here on the sounthern coast of Finland. Two years ago it didnīt begin at all (first time ever in history of reliable meteorological records) but last year it was quite OK... not as snowy and cold at all as those wonderful classic Finnish winters of my childhood but almost bearable. At least palms and coral reefs are not yet growing here.

NO SUBJECT

Hei Pekka,
I got a mail saying we should go throug all photos and score/comment, spo I am working late at night to achive this goal.

There is a street in Oslo looking exactly the same, no snow of course. Might have some closer to Christmas.

Nothing is missing in this photo; right time in the evening, excellent exposure, people where they should be, nice snowy afternoon. What a CAMERA!!

Top notch. Ha en fin kveld, vennlig hilsen

Magic moments

For us, mediterraneans that never see the snow, this shot looks like magic, like a Christmas postcard. I like very much the perfect lighting and the balanced composition.

White Christmas, how I miss you...

I really miss a white winter and Christmas time living in rainy Bergen (Norway). Wonderful done!

Just go to mountains;)

Tack Olav!
I sure believe it can be very rainy and windy in Bergen.... but at least you have mountains close everywhere i Norge
so if you want have snow you can just go to a higher altitude. This southern Finland is all so damn flat that if there isnīt snow on southern coast there most likely isnīt snow anywhere within 600km.
Helsningar from Helsingfors.
Pekka
